Today was a beautiful day. Alan and I took a little day trip to Berkeley. We ate good food and hung out with friends. I, of course, took plenty of pictures. In the afternoon I made chocolate chip cookies.
Images, experiences, comments on life and its wonders from the perspective of a young woman and her camera.
Mid Life Crisis
I haven't reached 25 yet but I'm pretty sure I'm having a mid-life crisis. Maybe it would be more appropriate to call it a quarter-life crisis, but I'm not quite sure about what a quarter-life crisis entails… although I suspect you need to get raging drunk while you are having one and I'm not interested in getting raging drunk, so I will call this a mid-life crisis as I pensively sip on some nice single malt, aged whisky.
In essence, I want a bad-ass looking convertible. More than a want, it is a need. A need that I discovered while moving into my more conservative and economically viable apartment (read: boring, grown-up apartment). Shinny, new and fun. Yes, a convertible is what I need in order to get my mojo back from my boring work-day-in-and-day-out life. I thought a lot about convertibles over the weekend and I definitely want a hard top convertible, because they are super cool. I want a car that says: "fooled you! My hat comes off! Eat my dust as a zoom-zoom away into the distance!"
If I save my pennies, in a couple of years I might be able to actually afford a Mazda Miata MX hardtop convertible. The Miata is not as bad-ass looking as I would like, but it will work for my purposes. If I win the lottery I might get a Lexus or an Audi.
