Too Much Chocolate
Is there such a thing as eating too much chocolate? Personally, I spent my entire life thinking that the answer to this silly question was a resounding NO. Today I discovered otherwise. Today I reached the point of chocolate saturation.
It rained all day, and I had nothing else better to do than stay warm and eat chocolate. So I ate chocolate. A lot of it. In many different forms. I started the day with peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I even had a chocolate-mint, non-dairy, ice cream sandwich. In the afternoon, Alan and I went to the movies with some friends. As is customary, I smuggled snacks into the theater. This time I smuggled in an entire 1 pound box of See's Candies, my favorites. By the time No Country for Old Men was over, I had reached the saturation point. I over-did it, and I knew that life would never be the same again. Even though I consciously wanted to eat more, my body just couldn't.
I don't know if I want to live in a world where I can obtain more chocolate than what I can eat. I mean, I can eat an obscene amount of chocolate. I'm not sure if having more than what I can eat is just plain torture (because I want to eat it all), or a small scale gruesome display of gluttony. Either way, this is not good, and I have some thinking to do.
