Murano...
Sleepy Island of bliss. Only 15min. away from the main island of Venice. This place is great to escape from the crowds of tourists and relax, while looking at masterpieces of art made of glass. Every island in the area has its own specialty and identity. Murano is the cradle of glass making(mirrors, crystal, house stuff like vases, etc). You can see people blowing glass in windows.
Fun Facts: -It had a "secret service" that would kill those who they thought might leak the secret of how to make mirrors. -Crystal was invented in 1450.
Of course, hand made glass is expensive, so we didn't buy much.

Hee hee...Batman uses it in one the Justice League Cartoons where some villain attempts to go into the minds of all the superheroes.
